Classic Cars Cruising Down Main Street

We are inviting all hot rod racers, antique automobile owners, and collectors of vintage vehicles to wheel your way down Main Street for a special Memorial Day Parade.


  • Meeting Point: Masontown-German Park
  • Arrival Time: Please arrive by 9:30 AM for lineup.
  • Parade Starts: 10:00 AM sharp.


If you have a classic car you'd like to showcase, we want to see it taking it "low and slow" through the parade as we celebrate 250 years of American history.

Patriotic Bicycle Parade

Calling all bicycle enthusiasts! We are hosting a special Bicycle Parade during our Memorial Day festivities on Monday, May 25, 2026. This is a wonderful opportunity for families and neighbors to get creative and show their community spirit as we honor America's 250th anniversary.

  • Meeting Point: Masontown-German Park
  • Arrival Time: Be there at 9:30 AM to get in line.
  • Parade Starts: 10:00 AM.


Grab your streamers, flags, and red-white-and-blue decor! All ages are invited to ride their decorated bikes in the parade. It’s a great way to get involved and celebrate right here on Main Street.

We are looking for local artisans, makers, and food trucks to help us celebrate 150 years of Masontown and 250 years of Liberty this July 4th. This is a high-traffic community event, and we’d love to showcase your business.

Calling all musicians! Help us rock Masontown’s 150th and America’s 250th. 


We’re looking for the best local talent to take the stage this July 4th. Compete for prizes, glory, and the title of Masontown’s top band!

July 4th Pie Contest

Dust off your rolling pins and bring your best homemade pie to the celebration. Whether it’s a family heirloom recipe or a new favorite, we want to see (and taste) what Masontown is baking! Hosted by the German-Masontown Library TasteBuds.

Lace up your sneakers for a historic stride! Join us as we honor America’s 250th and Masontown’s 150th with a morning of fitness and community spirit. Whether you are a competitive runner or a casual walker, come help us celebrate our journey to independence.

Run by the Fayette Striders Running Club and Sponsored by Masontown Matters.

  • Late Registration: $30.00 for registrations received after June 15.

Hot Dog Eating Contest

How many can you handle? Help us celebrate 250 years of American history and 150 years of Masontown with our July 4th Hot Dog Eating Contest! We’re looking for the fastest eaters in town to compete for the title of "Masontown's Top Dog."

Join us for a day of patriotic pride! Celebrate America’s 250th and Masontown’s 150th Anniversary by showcasing our community's youngest stars. We are looking for bright smiles and local spirit to take the stage in this historic celebration.

  • Tiny Star: Ages 5–8

George Washington Crossing the Monongahela

Light up the sky over Masontown! Cap off our historic dual-anniversary celebration with a spectacular fireworks show. Join your friends, family, and neighbors for a breathtaking display of patriotic lights and colors as we celebrate America's 250th and Masontown's 150th together.

Viewing Information

Join us for a historical reenactment of George Washington crossing the Monongahela River to celebrate our nation's 250th anniversary of independence!
